Academic Session Held on "Criteria and Indicators of an Optimal Monetary System from the Perspective of Islamic Economics"

An academic session titled "Criteria and Indicators of an Optimal Monetary System from the Perspective of Islamic Economics" was held on Sunday, April 25, 2026, at the Institute for Islamic Studies in Humanities.

During the session, Hojjat-Al-eslam Dr. Mohsen Omidvar, Director of the Dena Think Tank, delivered a detailed presentation on the findings and results of his doctoral dissertation, which was completed at the Research Institute of Hawzah and University. In his talk, he explained the foundations, theoretical framework, and objectives of the research, and outlined the most important findings of the dissertation to the audience.

Following the presentation, members of the Institute's Islamic Economics Department, together with the presenter, examined the capacities and capabilities of the proposed theoretical framework from the perspective of critiquing and evaluating monetary reform proposals put forward by various think tanks and researchers across the country. They also discussed and exchanged views on the possibility of utilizing this framework to achieve a coherent implementation plan, supported by elite consensus, in the field of monetary reform in the country.
