Islamic economics, as the most prominent field required in the construction of Islamic society and civilization, has been one of the main areas considered by the founders of the Research Institute of Islamic Studies in the Humanities. Accordingly, the department of Islamic economics, using the scientific and research capacity of the seminary and the university, has tried to take effective steps in theorizing Islamic economics and providing policy solutions based on Islamic economics to the executive apparatus  and institutions.

This group has presented its scientific products in various fields such as Islamic banking, ethics and economics, Iranian Islamic model of progress, resistance economics and economic education with tools at its disposal such as forming working groups, supporting theses and dissertations, publishing books and scientific articles, holding seminars and conferences at the national level, holding promotional scientific chairs, executing training workshops and forming a technology unit.
