Meeting of Research Institute Faculty Members with the Representative of Mashhad and Kalat
A group of faculty members from the Research Institute for Islamic Studies in Humanities at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad met with Mr. Ali-Asghar Nakhaei-Rad, the representative of Mashhad and Kalat in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) on Saturday 22nd November 2025.
During the meeting, the institute’s capacities, objectives, and scholarly activities were introduced, and both sides discussed ways to expand scientific, research, and advisory cooperation between the institute and the Parliament.
The faculty members highlighted the institute’s strengths in Islamic studies, cultural policy-making, and interdisciplinary research, emphasizing their readiness to provide research support and specialized consultation to the Parliament. The representative of Mashhad and Kalat welcomed this collaboration and stressed the importance of utilizing academic expertise in the legislative process and national decision-making.
In conclusion, both parties underscored the need to maintain ongoing communication and to design joint programs aimed at enhancing interaction between the legislative body and the academic community.
